" Plant Functional Diversity, Plasticity, and Convergence in Forest Ecosystem Modeling "
Forest ecosystems are a pivotal component of Earth system models that aim to predict our planetary futures. Yet, plant functional diversity is often highly simplified in these models. This talk will discuss the importance of functional diversity and plasticity in predicting forest community and structures, as well as functional convergence that can be leveraged for forest biomass predictions.
