COMMENCEMENT

2023 UCLA Commencement events:

2023 ECOLOGY AND EVOLUTIONARY BIOLOGY COMMENCEMENT CELEBRATION
DATE/LOCATION:  SUNDAY, JUNE 18, 2023, at WILSON PLAZA
TIME:  9:00AM (anticipated duration: 90 minutes)

DAY OF THE EVENT

Students must arrive by 8:00AM and report to the area between Kaufman Hall and the Fowler Museum and already dressed in the cap and gown. Students should also have their NAME CARD with them.

PRIOR TO THE EVENT

2023 EEB COMMENCEMENT TICKET REQUESTS

If you had submitted a late RSVP and/or ticket request for the 2023 EEB Commencement Celebration via Message Center by FRIDAY, JUNE 9, 2023, the EEB Undergraduate Office is still processing your requests.  Your request should be processed by tomorrow, TUESDAY, JUNE 13, 2023.

If you had not submitted the RSVP and/or ticket request, the last day to submit your request via Message Center is TUESDAY, JUNE 13, 2023, BY 3:00PM with the following information:

(1) First and Last Name

(2) UID

(3) Number of tickets already ordered OR number of tickets you wish to order (if you haven’t submitted a request already)

(4) Number of additional tickets requested.

Please be aware that we may not be able to fulfill students’ request for additional tickets.

EEB EXIT SURVEY AND NAME CARD
Name Cards will be available for pick-up beginning on TUESDAY, MAY 30, 2023, at the EEB Undergraduate Office (101 Hershey Hall).  There may be Name Cards available on the day of the EEB Commencement Celebration.

Name Cards will be available to pick up :

Monday June 5th from 9am-11am & 2pm – 4pm

Tuesday June 6th from 9am -12pm

Thursday June 8th from 9am – 4pm

Monday June 12th from 9am-4pm

Thursday June 15th from 9am – 4pm

In order to obtain the Name Card prior to the EEB Commencement Celebration, students must complete the EEB Exit Survey (via BruinLearn) and show the confirmation that is displayed upon completion of the survey.  A link to the EEB Exit Survey will be posted on the EEB Undergraduate website (https://forms.office.com/r/TcdqvvXXfC). Note: The EEB Exit Survey is separate from the UCLA Senior Survey.

EEB COMMENCEMENT STUDENT SPEAKER & SINGER OF THE NATIONAL ANTHEM/UCLA ALMA MATER
The Student Speaker and the Student Singer lead the two lines of graduates into Wilson Plaza and sit on stage during the ceremony. Auditions for both the Student Speaker and Singer are scheduled for MONDAY, JUNE 5, 2023 (specific time & location TBA).

To request an audition, send a message to Message Center beginning on no later than WEDNESDAY, MAY 31, 2023, at 3:00PM with the following information:

(1) First and Last Name

(2) UID

(3) Major/Minor – must be declared in an EEB Major or Minor.

In the Subject line, indicate if you are applying to be the “Student Speaker” or the “Student Singer.” If you are auditioning to be the Speaker, please include the text of your speech (maximum five minutes in length) as an attachment to your message. Singers will sing the National Anthem and the UCLA Alma Mater a cappella at their audition. Note: If you are unavailable on the designated audition date, please send a message to Message Center to see if alternate arrangements can be made.
