2019 ECOLOGY AND EVOLUTIONARY BIOLOGY COMMENCEMENT CELEBRATION

DAY OF THE EVENT
Students must arrive by 8:00AM and report to the area between Kaufman Hall and the Fowler Museum and already dressed in the cap and gown. Students should also have their NAME CARD with them.
PRIOR TO THE EVENT
TICKETS – Ordering Period: Friday, April 26, 2019 (beginning at 4:00PM) – Friday, May 17, 2019
Ticket orders and RSVPs for all Commencement activities are submitted during this period.

ALL TICKETS are to be picked up at the UCLA Central Ticket Office For hours of operation: https://tickets.ucla.edu/customer-service
For the EEB ceremony, students may order a maximum of eight (8) tickets. The first four (4) tickets are free. All tickets, including the four (4) free tickets, must be ordered via MyUCLA during the designated ticket order period noted above (April 26-May 27, 2019). Additional tickets are $12.00 per ticket; cost which will be billed directly to the student’s BruinBill account. All invited guests must have a ticket to attend except for infants or small children who would sit on an adult’s lap during the ceremony. Participating students do not need a ticket for the EEB Commencement Celebration. Note: Revenue generated by ticket sales covers the cost of the EEB Commencement Celebration.
Students who miss the RSVP and ticket order deadline for the EEB Commencement Celebration must send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org beginning TUESDAY, MAY MAY 28, 2019, THROUGH FRIDAY, MAY 31, 2019 by 3:00 PM. The e-mail should have the Subject: Missed RSVP and should include the following information:
(1) First and Last Name; (2) UID; (3) Number of tickets requested; and (4) Major/Minor – must be declared in an EEB Major or Minor (Majors: Biology, EBE, Marine Biology; Minors: Conservation Biology, Evolutionary Medicine).
Students will be informated via e-mail once the ticket order has been processed.
Students who wish to order additional tickets may send their request to email@example.com beginning on TUESDAY, JUNE 4, 2019, at 4:00 PM, with the following information:
(1) First and Last Name; (2) UID; (3) Number of tickets already ordered; and (4) Number of additional tickets requested.
Please be aware that we may not be able to fulfill students’ request for additional tickets.
EEB EXIT SURVEY AND NAME CARD
Name Cards will be available for pick-up beginning on TUESDAY, MAY 28, 2019,, at the EEB Undergraduate Office (101 Hershey Hall). In order to obtain the Name Card, students must complete the EEB Exit Survey (via CCLE) and bring a printout of the confirmation that is displayed upon completion of the survey. A link to the EEB Exit Survey will be posted on the EEB Undergraduate website (TBA). Note: The EEB Exit Survey is separate from the UCLA Senior Survey.
EEB COMMENCEMENT STUDENT SPEAKER & SINGER OF THE NATIONAL ANTHEM/UCLA ALMA MATER
The Student Speaker and the Student Singer lead the two lines of graduates into Wilson Plaza and sit on stage during the ceremony. Auditions for both the Student Speaker and Singer are scheduled for WEDNESDAY, APRIL 19, 2019, (time and location TBA).
To request an audition, send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org by FRIDAY, APRIL 12, 2019, at 3:00 PM with the following information: (1) First and Last Name; (2) UID; and (3) Major/Minor – must be declared in an EEB Major or Minor. In the Subject line, indicate if you are applying to be the “Student Speaker” or the “Student Singer.” If you are auditioning to be the Speaker, please include the text of your speech (maximum five minutes in length) in the body of your e-mail. Singers will sing the National Anthem and the UCLA Alma Mater a cappella at their audition. Note: If you are unavailable on the designated audition date, please contact the EEB Undergraduate Office (email@example.com) to see if alternate arrangements can be made.
