FRESHMAN APPLICANTS

TRANSFER APPLICANTS

Students who wish to apply to a major in the Division of Life Sciences as a TRANSFER student must complete the following prior to matriculation at UCLA:

Required

1. 1. One (1) year of General Biology with Lab*
      *Preferably equivalent to Life Sciences 1 and Life Sciences 2 at UCLA.
   2. One (1) year of General Chemistry with Lab
   3. One (1) year of Calculus
   4. One (1) semester of Organic Chemistry with Lab

Recommended

1. 1. Second semester of Organic Chemistry with Lab
   2. One (1) year of Calculus-based Physics

TRANSFER APPLICANTS, FALL 2008 AND LATER:

Transfer students who are not admitted to UCLA as a major in the Division of Life Sciences may not change to a Life Sciences major upon matriculation to UCLA.
