EEB Peer Mentorship Program

Based on data from our EEB Graduating Senior survey from the past 3 years, there is both a clear opportunity and student buy-in to develop an EEB-specific peer mentorship program that supports and enriches their undergraduate experience. This program aims to foster a stronger sense of belonging and community within the department, while also addressing the academic, social, and professional development needs of our undergraduate students.

This program would create a layered mentorship model: staff mentorship would guide EEB Juniors & Seniors, who in turn would serve as peer mentors to EEB freshman, sophmores, & new transfer students. With the goal of providing mentorship that will be both relevant and relatable, as students will receive direct guidance from peers who have recently navigated similar academic paths and departmental experiences.
