Example image - aligned to the right The lab can be found in the 4000 Suite of the Terasaki Life Sciences building of the UCLA campus.

The lab is based in the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. Within the department we benefit from interactions with a strong group of evolutionary geneticists working with non-model organisms, as well as a strong group of mathematically-oriented researcherswhich form the informal EcoEvoTheory Group.

Across the campus there are number of departments/programs/resources that are relevant to research within the lab:

  • Interdepartmental Program in Bioinformatics
  • Department of Human Genetics
  • Department of Biomathematics
  • Statistical Genetics at UCLA
  • Department of Biostatistics
  • Genotyping and Sequencing Core
  • Institute for Pure and Applied Mathematics
  • Center for Society and Genetics
  • Mellon Foundation Seminar on DNA and History
  • Department of Anthropology
  • Finally, the UCLA campus is located in the neighborhood of Westwood. Within 20-25 minutes from campus one can reach trailheads that lead into the Santa Monica mountains (including the 70-mile Backbone trail), beaches and marinas along the Pacific Ocean, as well as world-class music venues and museums.
