REQUESTING SUBSTITUTIONS FOR UPPER DIVISION MAJOR REQUIREMENTS

Students in all majors may request to have courses evaluated for equivalency for upper division major requirements.

To request an evaluation:

  1. Send your request to eebundergrad@lifesci.ucla.edu; include your full name, UID, and major.
  2. In the e-mail, specify which "Major Category" you are asking to apply the course, e.g., Category 5 – Upper Division Science Electives.
  3. Indicate the institution you took the course at, and either when you took the course, or when you plan to take the course. Also, if the course was completed via a study abroad program, indicate whether or not the program was through a UC-Education Abroad Program (EAP). If this is not through UC-EAP, indicate what institution sponsored the study abroad program.
  4. Attach the COURSE DESCRIPTION(S) and COURSE SYLLABUS (SYLLABI).
