The main goal is to recombine the evolutionary with the ecological in order to explore when and why entire ecosystems were newly created or irreversibly altered – as a Major System Transition (MST).The webinar ties into the recently launched Research Topic, “Social Evolution and the What, When, Why and How of the Major Evolutionary Transitions in the History of Life”.
