2017 Library Prize for Undergraduate Research winners
UCLA's undergraduates Adrienne Uhlyarik, Deven Patel, and Alexa Sheldon’s EEB paper was the first place winner of this year’s 2017 Library Prize for Undergraduate Research in the Sciences category. Adrienne, Deven, and Alexa are recognized for their paper "Raiding and Foraging Behavior of Megaponera analis in the Dja Biosphere Reserve of Cameroon." Their instructor sponsor was Greg Grether. This year, competition for the Library Prize was stiff, and each application went through a rigorous judging process. There were many more outstanding projects than prizes to award. The prize includes a monetary award of $700, funded by UCLA alumna Ruth Simon. Adrienne, Deven, and Alexa will be recognized at this year's Library Prize for Undergraduate research award ceremony and reception.
