Assistant Researcher Brant Faircloth's Work Featured in BioTechniques
A news article in BioTechniques entitled "Targeting the Tree of Life" discusses new approaches developed by Faircloth and collaborators for understanding evolutionary relationships among widely divergent taxa at various timescales. Faircloth began this work while he was a Post-Doctoral Scholar in the laboratory of Professor Patricia Gowaty, and he is currently working with several labs within EEB (Gowaty, Alfaro, Shaffer) on new applications of this approach to a number of unsolved evolutionary questions.
