Professor Stephen Hubbell named a Fellow of the Ecological Society of America
Professor Stephen Hubbell named a Fellow of the Ecological Society of America. This past August, the ESA Governing Board established this new program to confer the honorary title of Fellow to those who have been recognized by their peers for their distinguished contributions to the discipline. The designation will be awarded each year, beginning in 2013, to a small number of members. In order to populate the first cohort of Fellows as the program is implemented, the Board awarded the designation to ESA Past Presidents and Vice Presidents, recipients of Eminent Ecologist, MacArthur, Distinguished Service and Odum Excellence in Education Award winners, Editors in Chief of ESA journals, and ESA members who are also members of the National Academy of Sciences.
