Recipe for a Perfect Drought
KPCC-89.3 FM reported Sunday, and San Francisco’s KTVU-Channel 2 reported Saturday, on a study by Glen MacDonald, director of the UCLA Institute of the Environment and Sustainability, and a colleague showing that the combination of La Niña and two less commonly known ocean-weather conditions could potentially result in drought in the upper reaches of the Colorado River and drive water levels in the Lake Mead reservoir below a critical threshold. MacDonald was interviewed on KTVU.
