    The Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at UCLA invites applications for a TENURE-TRACK position








    for an Ecologist at the Assistant Professor level. We seek candidates who








    address central concepts in ecology using theory and/or experimentation. Applicants working on








    all systems, particularly those working in the marine realm, are welcome. The Department is also interested








    in individuals with a history of promoting diversity in education. The expected start date is September 2008.








    Candidates must have a Ph.D.; postdoctoral experience is desired. Salary is commensurate with education and








    experience. Successful candidates are expected to participate in undergraduate and graduate teaching and to








    maintain an externally funded research program. UCLA has outstanding resources, including the UC Natural








    Reserve System, the NSF Institute of Pure and Applied Mathematics (IPAM), the Institute of the Environment’s








    Center for Tropical Research and Coastal Center, a departmental seawater flume facility, re-circulating








    seawater holding facilities, a coastal research vessel, and many core facilities. Applicants should submit
